Are you passionate about storytelling, music, social justice, or local news? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in radio broadcasting, audio editing, radio programming, and community engagement? Join our team as a Niijii Radio Intern and help uplift voices that matter.
Location: KKWE, Serving White Earth Reservation, Located in Callaway, MN
Hours: Part-time, flexible schedule 20 – 30 hrs a week
Compensation: Modest stipend
Start Date: Flexible
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with live and recorded radio broadcasts
- Learn audio editing and production using professional software
- Support social media and outreach efforts
- Conduct community interviews and research local issues
- Help develop content that reflects the voices, culture, and concerns of our community
Ideal Candidates:
- Are students or recent grads in media, communications, journalism, or related fields
- Are strong communicators and active listeners
- Have an interest in grassroots media and community organizing
- Are reliable, creative, and eager to learn
- (Bonus) Have experience with audio editing tools like Audacity or Adobe Audition
